Short term stay: serviced apartments versus hotels
When you book in to a hotel, all is made easy and ready for you: towels, beds made, your morning meal ready and waiting for you. They are set up ideally for an overnight stay or two. If you remain for longer, on the other hand, you will usually want a little more room to breathe. You might even appreciate the chance to cook your own dinner one night, or eat your own food at breakfast time rather than the rich food that the restaurant lays on. You can also spread out a little more:
- eat when you like
- put your stuff in the cupboards
- take advantage of the wireless internet
The comparison grows more appealing still when you note that serviced accommodation is usually priced lower than a comparable hotel, even with the additional space and high quality service available at all locations.
Long term stay: serviced apartments compared to apartment rental or hotels
When you get into stays of more than a week, it's not just square footage that is of value: the most suitable accommodation will have good storage space, something that a hotel generally cannot do. Occupying own apartment throughout your stay permits you to feel less cooped up. Your lifestyle is just as it would be at home. Your time is your own, allowing you to de-stress.
In contrast to renting, serviced apartments uk let you experience luxury whilst also letting you feel more as if in your own home than a hotel as the weeks progress. For example, apart from doing your own cooking you might also be happy to do your own washing in the washing and drying machines provided in each high spec kitchen.
Two disadvantages of renting an apartment are that you normally have to take out a six month rent, and you are expected to organise your own services (utilities and internet to name but two). It is not in the least surprising that for stays of more than a week but less than half a year, serviced accommodation is now the most favoured option amongst business and leisure travellers.
