•Stay right where you are.


PRO: Stay on at your old job working there part time, this might be possible. Rather than take full retirement, many companies permit older employees to reduce their hours.
CON: Do you really want to work at the same place again for less money?

•You can be a consultant.

PRO: You are an expert in your field, right? Use this to your advantage. Offer short-term consulting or freelance services to companies. These companies prefer to contract temp employees for some projects. You will need a business license, keep records, and file taxes as a business.

CON: It might be too much work for a retiree.


•You can find some government or community programs.

PRO: the government has set up some programs to give job training and employment to seniors. Many local communities have done this too.
CON: Do not expect big pay. In some cases it ends in volunteer work.

My tip for job retirement: you can work from your home. You will earn real money, and you can do it part time, or full-time. You will become an online affiliate. You will need to invest your time, which is something you probably have plenty of. You will also need an Internet connection, and a computer. Anyone can do it. It will be easy for you because you will be telling the world about the things you love.

If you want to be making more money in your retirement than you have ever earned before you can do it with this idea, but you will have to work at it. Will you need a product or a website? No!
